One Girl, Two Cities

Throwback Thursday – 7.23.1994 and 7.24.1994

I talked to Andy! He called me from his aunt and uncle’s house! Zach had told him I wanted to talk to him so he called me. I apologized to him and asked him if he would tell Zach to lay off. He said he would try to talk to him. I just want Zach to stop interfering in my life. If he calls me tomorrow I’ll tell him that. I know Jon would like to be informed on all this, but he understands that I’d rather not tell him. He knows I did something REALLY mean to Andy, but I can’t tell him I did the same thing to him. BYE!

Today wasn’t too exciting. We rented movies (Son In Law and The Man Without A Face) and I made sure to check on Coby and Mikey. Sara & I invited Matt & Jon over to watch a movie, but neither of them could. I’m gonna see if Jon can come over tomorrow. We’re going to Kohl’s for a back-to-school sale, but maybe he can come over after that or after dinner. I’ve also invited him to Valley Fair on Wednesday. He can probably come. He’s gonna tell me tomorrow, Monday, if he can or can’t.

tbt“I Swear” is a REALLY good song, but it’s going down. “Don’t Turn Around” by Ace of Base and “Stay” by Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories are 1 and 2 while All-4-One stays at #3. Oh well.

I think I’m in love with Jon. I hate it when we fight and am in luv when we’re together. Jon’s the kind of guy I’d like to end up with. Well, except for the fact that he likes to hunt. Oh well, nobody’s perfect. BYE!

I actually remember calling into radio stations to request random songs off the All-4-One album but they would only play “I Swear” since it was the only one released at the time. And I had the Ace of Base cassette tape that I listened to quite often. Do you remember some of your favorite songs from 1994?

I love the boy drama, it’s just so funny. And the emphasis on he can PROBABLY come to Valleyfair on Wednesday. And I was all about Ace of Base! I listened to the entire CD on repeat every single day. I loved Lisa Loeb too and All 4 One, I remember them! They wanted to be Boyz II Men I think! I was pretty big into Mariah Carey too, my friends and I used to make tapes of us singing and I’m pretty sure one of us used to do “Hero”. Oh the memories! And I think I remember Son In Law – it was kind of a terrible movie, lol!

OMG yes!! They were definitely Boyz II Men wannabes, haha. Can you imagine listening to your younger self trying to sing a Mariah Carey song right now? That would be pretty hilarious and horrifying. 😉 Ace of Base was so huge for awhile, even though all of their songs sounded the same. Once we get to the posts from the end of July, I have more music stats to share!

Ace of Base was the shiznit for awhile. And yes, hunting has never been my thing because I can’t imagine killing an animal myself. It’s fun posting these to see what’s changed and what hasn’t since I was young. 🙂
